Roasting on Demand
At 7grams we love fresh coffee. To keep it that way, we roast in small batches. We begin by roasting small amounts to see how the beans react to different roasting conditions. After tasting the results, we make our decision on how to get the best out of each bean. To exercise exact control, and keep our eye on waste, we roast only 100grams in the sample roaster before we switch to the larger Probat roaster.
We just renovated the 1966 Probat sample roaster pictured below. She has been totally cleaned up inside and out, and has a total new look.
She made her Belgian debut at the Coffee Lab at the Venuez 2014 and in the Netherlands, she was featured in "The Lab" where she was on display and was subject of the closing presentation.
